Isopods are excellent for supporting substrate vitality in the terrarium. White tropical isopods (Trichorhina tomentosa) primarily feed on decomposing organic material such as leaves or moss, making them excellent as so-called soil police, but also as food for small frogs or geckos. Occasionally, the isopods should be fed with some oak leaves or white rotten wood.
