Pinguicula primuliflora is one of the American butterwort species and can be kept in pure sphagnum moss with relatively high water levels, unlike many other Pinguicula. This cultivar is characterized by a particularly beautiful, double flower. A high water level actually stimulates the growth of Pinguicula primuliflora! During the winter months, the plants should be overwintered at slightly cooler temperatures (5-10°C). A winter rosette is not formed, but growth does stagnate quite a bit. Throughout the season, small daughter plants are formed at the leaf tips, through which the plants propagate. An absolute specialty! Cultivation in a cool greenhouse is recommended, but not strictly necessary!
