Bromeliads are classified as pre-carnivorous plants because they rely on the help of microorganisms for the utilization of prey. Only a few species, such as Brocchinia reducta and Catopsis spec., are true carnivores! This beautiful cultivar of Neoregelia schultesiana is characterized by a white-striped leaf edge and is excellent for keeping in a terrarium. The substrate requirements are relatively low. Normal carnivorous plant substrate works just as well as special mixtures for succulents or the mounted (epiphytic) cultivation, such as on bark or in pure peat. You will receive a bare-root plant.
