Pinguicula debbertiana "Metallic Purple" is a beautiful selection of a rather compact, Mexican butterwort species. During the winter months, the plant does not really retreat into a rosette, but the leaves are noticeably smaller and not as compact in growth as during the summer months. Therefore, year-round warm cultivation on the windowsill or with additional lighting is perfectly possible.
