Pinguicula spec. "Tolantongo" is a beautiful selection of a rather compact Mexican butterwort species. It is likely a natural hybrid between P. esseriana and P. ehlersiae. During the winter months, the plant does not retreat into a rosette, but the leaves are noticeably smaller than in the summer months. Year-round warm cultivation on the windowsill or under supplemental lighting is therefore perfectly possible.
