Pinguicula gigantea is a Mexican butterwort species that grows particularly large. During the winter months, the plant does not retreat into a rosette, but the leaves grow somewhat more slowly than during the summer months. Year-round warm cultivation on the windowsill or under strong supplemental lighting is perfectly possible, as P. gigantea is very heat-tolerant in addition to the mentioned characteristics.
