Pinguicula esseriana is a rather compact Mexican butterwort species. This cultivar is characterized by a particularly pale flower. During the winter months, the plant does not retract into a rosette, but the leaves are smaller and not as robust in growth as during the summer months. Year-round warm cultivation on the windowsill or under additional lighting is therefore perfectly possible.
