The Sumpfkrug - Heliamphora spec. - does not possess active digestive enzymes and therefore relies on various bacterial colonies for prey utilization. For this reason, the genus Heliamphora is also classified as a so-called pre-carnivorous plant. This beautiful hybrid between Heliamphora heterodoxa and H. nutans is particularly tolerant of various growth conditions and is therefore excellent for beginners in the cultivation of Sumpfkrüge. The plants can be cultivated in a terrarium, in open containers (under artificial light), or in a greenhouse under cool house conditions (5-10°C) and should not be missing from any collection!
