Please note: pitcher plants are only shipped unpotted! As this is a natural product, the portion size may vary slightly (instead of one large plant, at least two medium-sized plants will be sent). Since we mainly propagate pitcher plants vegetatively (by division), it can also happen in the early spring months that relatively fresh sections are shipped, which sometimes only have weak roots or no roots at all! For these plants we offer you a two-month growth guarantee (wrong care excluded)!
Sarracenia flava comes from Central America and is therefore characterized by a relatively strong winter hardiness. Compared to most other types of pitcher plants, the plants sprout very early. This cultivar was originally selected by the well-known British carnivorous plant breeder Mike King under the abbreviation "MK F26 - Burgundy" and has a particularly beautiful and intense red colouration. One of our favourites! Shipping is unpotted. The plants will be shortened if they are sent in a maxi letter carton/package!
